Agnihotra Ash Powder
Collect the cooled Agnihotra ash from the copper pyramid and pass it through a fine sieve, such as a tea strainer. (See video demonstration on how to make Agnihotra ash powder).
Store this finely powdered ash in a container made of natural material like glass, earthenware, clay, paper or wood. Do not store ash in plastic or in metal other than pure copper or gold. The bigger, harder parts that remain in the strainer can be given to plants, put in water sources like rivers or lakes, or put in the compost pile. Wherever Agnihotra ash is placed, it gives healing energy.
It is recommended to take Agnihotra ash orally three times a day to counteract atmospheric pollution, environmental toxicity, and to protect oneself from disturbing frequencies that may exist from microwaves, cell phones, computers, etc. It can be taken directly as a finger pinch, or alternatively added in water or juice. Some people keep the Agnihotra ash in water overnight and then drink this water first thing in the morning. You can also use it on your food like a condiment.
You may want to put a tablespoon full of Agnihotra ash powder into the bath for a special energy bath and put a pinch of Agnihotra ash powder in your body lotion. Agnihotra ash can be mixed with other natural ingredients, such as ghee, to make remedies and applications.
Mix powdered Agnihotra ash with ghee. Mix one part Agnihotra ash powder with nine parts pure cow’s ghee by weight. Or alternatively one spoonful of Agnihotra ash powder with two spoonsful of ghee. Agnihotra ointment is used externally for all kinds of skin problems. It is used internally for heart conditions, kidney problems, etc.
Combine one part ghee with three parts pure spring or well water by volume. Knead together with the palm of your right hand in a vessel of pure copper until the ghee absorbs some of the water. Pour out excess water not absorbed by the ghee and add three parts new water again to the ghee. Repeat the same process 15 times. Then, combine one part Agnihotra ash powder to nine parts of this water-ghee emulsion (by weight) in a vessel suitable for making ointments. Agnihotra Cream is to be applied externally only and has a profound effect!
Agnihotra eye drops
Agnihotra eye drops need to be prepared anew daily. Mix one part Agnihotra ash powder with ten parts distilled water by volume. This mixture has to be boiled on a low flame for 10 minutes. Afterwards pass the mixture through filter paper, triple folded fine mesh cheesecloth or something similar. The patient may put one drop of the filtered solution into each corner of the eye and rub one drop into the skin beneath the eye and on the eyelids several times a day. It is better if Agnihotra eye drops are prepared only by an optometrist or qualified person.
Combine seventeen parts Agnihotra ash powder with ninety-five parts ghee. Heat the mixture until well blended and pour into molds. Solidify in the refrigerator. When necessary it can be cut into a suppository shape and inserted.
Put one teaspoon of Agnihotra ash powder into a pot of boiling water. Remove from the stove. Then the patient should keep his head directly above the pot and deeply inhale the steam. To concentrate the steam, the patient should put a thick towel over his or her head and the pot.
Put one tablespoon of Agnihotra ash powder into one liter of water. Now take a piece of cloth, gauze or cotton and soak it with this Agnihotra ash water and place it on the affected area of the body. Place a terry towel on top in order to catch excessive moisture, and leave the Agnihotra compress on for 10-15 minutes. Then repeat the process. Agnihotra compresses can be applied with hot or cold water.
